ABOUT PowerHouse Church
Pastor Tony Wright moved to San Diego from Las Vegas, Nevada in 2006 to start a new church. His wife, Mary as well as his son and daughter-in-law came to assist with the launching of the church.
At that time 85% of the San Diego county population was "unchurched." The need was great; not so much for just another church, but for the opportunity for many to be introduced to be introduced the power-filled life and new destiny God had for them.
From the beginning, PowerHouse Church (formerly New Destiny Church) was a "church for all people.
The church met in Pastor Tony and Mary's home for a short period. They also met for a while at the Golden Avenue Elementary School auditorium in Lemon Grove before moving to their next location, the Johnson School Auditorium at 1355 Kelton Road in San Diego. Most recently, the church met at The Lagoon building in the San Diego suburb, Lemon Grove. Currently, the church meets virtually by way of Zoom. See Home Page for Zoom instructions.
